Shamanic Reiki

Shamanic Reiki is based in Usui Reiki combined with Shamanic Teachings. In Traditional Usui Reiki the recipient is to passively receive the Reiki energy. The recipient is to simply relax as the Practitioner channels the Energy. There is little if any communication between the Practitioner and the recipient during the session.

Shamanic Teachings tells us that we need to be active, not passive, in our Healing. Shamanic Reiki  the recipient is required to let the practitioner know what they are feeling, seeing and sensing during the session. The recipient is to assist the practitioner in directing the energy to where it is needed.

Shamanic Teachings also tell us that we are not alone on our Healing Path and we have guides and teachers that can assist us in our Healing. Shamanic Reiki calls upon the Wisdom of the Mineral Kingdom as our guides and teacher. The Crystals & Stones used in Shamanic Reiki sessions helps to create a safe and supportive environment to facilitate our HEALING.

The affect of Reiki on the Energy Body:

The above images were taken of my Aura with a Kirlian camera and computed into the above graphs by a computer. The image on the right was 24 hours after receiving a 20 minute Reiki session. You can see that the energy field is starting to revert to the 'Before' levels specially at the hips. Within another 24 to 48 hours the energy will return to its state before the Reiki had energized the Aura.

The same program that calculated the Aura graph from the Kilian photographs calculated the energy levels of my 7 Major Chakras.The above graphs show the energy levels of my individual Chakras - the far left is my Root Chakra and the far right is the Crown Chakra. To understand the graph we need to understand that the 'Green Bar' is the energy level that individuals that work with their Chakras try to keep their Chakra's charged to. The 'Line' that goes through the 'Green Bar' is the 'Fill' line. When one's Chakra reaches the Line the Chakra is fully energized. If one's Chakra is above the 'Line' the Chakra's energy is overflowing into the person's environment. The intent is to keep one's Chakras in the 'Green Bar'.

The operator of the Kilian camera was shocked with the difference in the energy levels. He had never seen such a drastic change in one's energy levels, without months of working on the Chakras. The camera operator did not know I was doing this 'Before-After' experiment, until after the second Kilian picture was taken, then I showed him the earlier graphs.

I did this experiment at a 'Body, Mind, Spirit' Fair in the fall of 2002. At the time I knew nothing about Reiki, but I thought that if Reiki really affected the Energy Body that the Kilian camera should be able to detect such changes. I had the first Kirlian photo taken and then went to the Reiki booth to have a 20 minute Reiki session. After the session the Kirlian booth was closed, so I returned the next day, expecting to do it all over again. When I had my photo taken again the next day there was such a substantial change in the Energy levels that it was not needed to repeat the process. Even after 24 hours the energy levels were still considerably higher than before the Reiki.

I was pleasantly surprised to see my Heart Chakra in the 'Green Bar' even before the Reiki session and with my Root Chakra close to the target. The camera operator commented that my Chakras were fairly good, that most individuals he sees their Chakras are much lower, this was after the first photo. After the Reiki and 24 hours later my Heart Chakra was still spilling over into my environment, as it was sitting on top of the 'Fill-line', my Crown Chakra was just touching the 'Fill-line' and was fully charged. The only Chakra that had dropped below the 'Green Bar' was my Throat Chakra, the rest were all in the 'Green Bar' target area.

The experiment was successful, the Kirlian camera caught the change in the Energy Body from the Reiki session. It convinced me that Reiki is an effective tool in working with our Energy Body.

Sessions:

Each session is 60-75 minutes and can be more or less. Each session is guided more by intuition than by the clock or a set of procedures. I usually allocate 90 minutes to a session.

Multiple Sessions:

A single Shamanic Reiki session is beneficial, however, our Energy Body will revert back to its standard level. After years of neglect the Energy Body will have set a low energy norm that it will fall back to. In order to set a healthier level we need follow-up sessions in order to set a NEW NORM.

The Major Chakras can be fully charged with a 20 to 30 minute session. Within 3 days the Chakras will revert to the norm levels for the recipient. It is only by keeping the Chakras charged can there be a NEW NORM. I recommend 6 sessions with no more than 3 days between session, to begin setting a NEW NORM. To this end I offer discounts on multiple sessions.

After the 6 sessions it may good to take a few weeks off, to see how the 'Energy Level' settles. I work with the Medicine Wheel and recommend completing 4 sets (1 for each direction) of the 6 sessions, with a few weeks between each session.

Medicine Wheel:

As I work with the Medicine Wheel I would recommend the cycle to be repeated once for each direction of the Medicine Wheel. The 1^st set represents the East and is the direction that represents New Beginnings and it is new and different. The 2^nd set represents the South and is the directions that represents Learning and we start to learn how our Energy Body works and how it affects our Physical Health. The 3^rd set represents the West that is the direction that represents Experience and we put what we have learned in the South into practice. The 4^th set represents the North and is where we gain the Wisdom of working with our Energy Body.
